She returned from a long time gone - an old friend -
unannounced - unwelcome - Wearing an empty gaze behind smiling eyes that held
back cries and denied any pain - All in hopes of fooling me - but who might the
fool be if we are she - I think it worked.
Hmmm...interesting on many levels and beautifully worded.
